The Amazon Marketplace and Cards

Here’s a little marketing tip for you, which will reveal how you can use Amazon’s marketplace and cards to build a lot of prospects, customers, and business partners.

The amazon marketplace, by the way, is just a place where you can sell products such as books.

For example, Billy Bob goes to Amazon and decides he wants to purchase Rich Dad, Poor Dad

(one of my favorite books by the way) from Amazon. When he gets to the product page, he’ll see Amazon sells the book for some price….but

he’ll also see how he can the same book used - or new - cheaper than Amazon’s price from their marketplace.

So…

All you need to do is buy books related to your product or your service at a wholesale price and resell them at the cost you paid for them. If you can get them really cheap in bulk and make some profit, even better!

Once the customer purchases the book, you simply send them a thank you card thanking them for their investment and you can say a piece about your product. If you want to, you can stuff the book itself with a brochure, business card, etc., but I prefer the card with a personal touch.

So for example, if you are in a travel business that allows individuals to become a home-based travel agent, you should consider buying copies of Kelly Monaghan’s Home-Based Travel Agent, 5th Edition

and then sending the purchaser a card thanking them for their investment and mention your opportunity as the best vehicle to work at home as a travel agent.

Another example is if you sell vitamins, get several copies of Earl Mindell’s New Vitamin Bible: 25th Anniversary Edition and then follow up with a thank you card thanking them for their investment and put a little professional message about your vitamin products.

I won’t list them all, but if you are in a home business, just about any book about business makes for a decent candidate. Lots of people love to read about activities before they get involved. Get in touch with these people and send them a card about your products and services because they are red hot prospects!

Great question. Do a little research and try to get with a publisher or a book club that will sell in bulk… OR … buy them from the marketplace yourself and just resell them! It simply works!
