Take Your Business To The Next Level With Entrepreneurship Development

October 18th, 2008

Whether you are an Internet newbie or have been around the block a time or two, there is always room for entrepreneurship development. Always. Let me repeat that again: Always!

The day you think you know everything there is to know is the day you have failed your business. The Internet and the marketing that comes with it is constantly growing and evolving leaving no room to sit back. There’s a quote by Dani Johnson that I like that comes to mind:

The worst thing about success is a little bit.

If you want to continue to progress with your business, you have to be open to learn. As you probably figured out by now, your mind is like a parachute – it only works when it’s open!

Don’t Be Closed Minded

Part of entrepreneurship development is being open to opinions and thoughts. Listen to what others have to say and absorb their thoughts. Even if you do not learn anything new, you have nothing to lose by listening to others.

If anything, opening up allows you to build relationships and gain respect. A huge part of Internet marketing is bonding with others and gaining the respect from those within your niche…

This is something that many entrepreneurs overlook the importance of. Just because you are working on a computer does not mean you can hide behind the computer. Networking is crucial to succeeding online.

The Belief Factor

Another crucial facet to entrepreneurship development is believing in yourself and gaining self-confidence. While it may seem fairly simple, many find it difficult to believe in themselves after facing rejection a few different times. You are bound to fail before you taste success, but you have to continue to trust yourself before you actually succeed and…

You must development a bulletproof mindset and you read more about that here: Mindset

What About Goals?

One facet that many entrepreneurs overlook is writing out goals and defining them. Having goals will keep you motivated and give you something to strive for. When you do fail, you can look at your goals and push through the adversity. Having goals will help you formulate plans on how you intend on achieving them. And developing plans is crucial to succeeding online.

Get Moving. Hurry!

The last facet to entrepreneurship development is learning how to take initiative. You will be faced with countless distractions and bumps in the road to sidetrack you. For some people, excuses come in and they become the excuse…

But if you want to succeed and actually take your business somewhere, you have to take initiative and actually do something about it. Your business is not going to generate traffic on its own. It is not going to create quality content on its own. And it certainly is not going to interact with prospects and customers on its own. Just remember this: Perfection is overrated and action beats inaction any day of the week!

There is a lot that goes into entrepreneurship development. Many are side-swiped when they realize how difficult it really can be to succeed online. But if you are determined and willing to learn, you too can reap the benefits of having an online business.

And those benefits are most definitely worth reaping!

The concept of entrepreneurship has been around for several hundred years and has evolved greatly since first being introduced. While many consider it simply starting your own business, most economists have put much more into it than that. Economists believe an entrepreneur is someone willing to take on the risk of a new opportunity with the hope of profiting greatly.

Even this has been argued as others believe an entrepreneur is an innovator who markets their innovation. Therefore, it is difficult to answer what is entrepreneurship. But one thing is for certain; it is someone who is venturing out on their own to pursue a new opportunity.

Economist Joseph Schumpeter viewed entrepreneurship as:

a force of creative destruction

He claims that an entrepreneur takes on new ideas and new combinations to help render ideas from the past. Every day, something new and improved is thought of or invented. This is precisely what an entrepreneur is all about.

To take it a step further, many believe it is about searching for change, looking for improved ideas, responding to it and exploiting these changes as an opportunity. This is why many economists of today believe entrepreneurship is a necessary ingredient for stimulating growth and furthering our economy.

I cannot agree more.

Now that you know what is entrepreneurship, what exactly makes you an entrepreneur? There are several different qualities and characteristics that sum up an entrepreneur. Some of the personal attributes you will find include:

  • creativity
  • dedication
  • determination
  • flexibility
  • leadership
  • passion

In order to develop something that has not yet been thought of, you must have some creativity in your blood. This is the push for innovation and improvement from old ideas. As for the dedication, you will be working on your own and will need to devote several hours a day perhaps seven days a week. You have to be dedicated to succeed with an online business.

You are bound to face rough times throughout your journey to success. This is where determination kicks in to fight through the rough times. One of the first things you will find out as an entrepreneur is that things are constantly changing. In order to keep up with the constant change and evolution, you have to remain flexible.

Lastly, you have to have a passion for what you do and be a strong leader. There is no one to tell you what to do or when to do it. If you have strong leadership skills, you will have no problem staying focused and working toward your goals.

So what is entrepreneurship? It is a lot of things. It is searching for change, looking for answers, and looking for ways to improve the past. There are several opportunities for entrepreneurs to pursue their goals and start something great.

If you have not started something great, go for it today. Just take the leap.

5 Qualities Of A Good Entrepreneur

October 3rd, 2008

All over the Internet there are entrepreneurs looking to make riches with their own business. While there is tremendous potential to have success online, it is not the type of industry that everyone can succeed with. Here are five qualities of a good entrepreneur.

1. Determination

Running an online business is certainly more difficult than most people understand. Many believe they can get online and start making money instantly. While there are some opportunities that give you the chance to make a few bucks here and there instantly, it takes a great deal of effort and determination to actually start a career online. You have to be willing to devote your time and energy toward the business.

2. Focus

One of the most difficult things to get used to as an Internet newbie is the endless amount of freedom you are given. You have no one to tell you what to do, when to do it by or how to do it. It is up to you to remain focused and put aside the countless distractions you will face from working at home.

3. Excitement

Next on the list for qualities of a good entrepreneur is excitement. The wonderful thing about the Internet is you get to do something you have an interest in and enjoy. Therefore, show it in how you run your business. People are much more willing to listen to you and pursue your business if they see how excited you really are to be running it.

4. Eagerness

Part of determination is being eager to succeed. You have to want to make money online in order to actually succeed. Be willing to do anything and everything you can to generate that first sell and reach your goals. The more eager you are, the harder you will find yourself working to achieve your goals.

5. Patience

When first starting out, there is nothing more difficult than investing a great deal of time and seeing little results. What you have to understand is that it takes time to generate traffic. It takes time to create that first sell. And it certainly takes time to create a regular flow of traffic and customers. Whatever you do, do not give up just because you are not rich after the first month. You have to be patient.

When it comes to having success on the Internet, these are a few qualities of a good entrepreneur. Not everyone has what it takes to make money online and get rich; in fact, not even half of those who try actually succeed. If you want to make it in the Internet industry, you have to possess the true qualities of an Internet marketer.
